Spreading Smiles Foundation is a nonprofit organization based in the US that aims to make soccer more accessible for teenage girls in East Africa and promote gender equity in sports across the world. Founded in 2023 by Brit Richards, Gracie Strickland, and Molly Ryzewicz, our goal at Spreading Smiles is to provide young female athletes with soccer equipment to help them grow as players, build confidence, and achieve their dreams, on and off the field.

We have been inspired by the endless optimism and perseverance demonstrated by young girls and women in Tanzania, who face constant obstacles to access education and athletics in their day to day lives. At Spreading Smiles Foundation our mission is to empower girls worldwide and foster a sense of community through the beautiful game of soccer! We hope to create opportunities for girls to break down barriers and stereotypes by providing them with essential soccer equipment and financial support. Through the power of soccer, we strive to promote gender equality, education, and a strong sense of self belief, ensuring that every girl has the chance and confidence to express herself both on the soccer field and beyond!
