Spreading Smiles Foundation is a nonprofit organization based in the US that aims to make soccer more accessible for teenage girls in East Africa and promote gender equity in sports across the world. Founded in 2023 by Brit Richards, Gracie Strickland, and Molly Ryzewicz, our goal at Spreading Smiles is to spread our joy for soccer by helping young female athletes build confidence and achieve their dreams.

We have been inspired by the incredible stories of girls in Tanzania, Africa, who persevere through harsh conditions such as severe heat and no access to equipment. At Spreading Smiles Foundation our mission is to empower girls in Tanzania through the beautiful game of soccer! We are dedicated to breaking down barriers and creating opportunities by providing essential soccer equipment and financial support. We aim to foster a sense of community, build confidence, and inspire young girls to pursue their dreams on and off the field. Through the power of soccer, we strive to promote gender equality, education, and healthy lifestyles, ensuring that every girl has the chance and confidence to express herself on and off the soccer field!
